The MET Stylists

May 4, 2017

MET gala is the fashion party that leaves some perplexed and questioning what fashion really is, while some others are simply awe struck by the creativity and the genius of fashion. Being a stylist for a MET gala guest means lots of fittings, lots of consulting and lots of creativity. Let's have a look at two outstanding stylists and the jaw dropping style they created with their celebrity clients:

1. Cristina Ehrlich: Featured as one of the 10 most powerful stylists in Hollywood, Miss. Ehrlich won "Celebrity Stylist of the Year" in 2012. She is known for taking on the hollywood newbies as her clients and having a huge role in developing their careers in the industry, with her styling capabilities. Her client list for Met Gala includes Prinyanka Chopra, who is starting off in hollywood by playing the negative lead in the movie Baywatch. Also on her list was Allison Williams, who in 2010 performed a mashup of "Nature Boy" set to RJD2's "A Beautiful Mine", the theme song for the television series Mad Men.

  2. Karla Welch: Welch, who won the top spots on Vogue's best dressed lists for all three of Hollywood's major red carpets — the Emmys, Golden Globes and the Oscars — possesses a range as dynamic and varied as her clientele. Given her reputation in the industry, its not hard to believe her clients for the Met 2017included Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson is an aspiring actress. She is known for being the only daughter of pop singer Michael Jackson. Karla also styled Tracee Ellis Ross, who is starring as Dr. Rainbow Johnson in the ABC comedy series Black-ish.
